Glasgow: Designing The Future – Sustainable house building in the UK and Germany
Gallery Professional Article: New BCCG regioan for Scotland and Northern England
British-German Real Estate Expert Talk 2019 in Glasgow
Key notes and panel discussion.
Three million new homes must be built over the next 20 years to solve the UK’s housing crisis, at the same time the UK’s legally-binding target to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050 will not be met without the near-complete elimination of greenhouse emissions from buildings. Fast increasing urban populations and the need to reduce its environmental impact requires a change of how we design our cities. The City of Glasgow has pledged to make Britain’s third biggest city the first to reach a net zero carbon emissions target in a drive to tackle climate change.
Government representatives as well as experts from the finance and construction industry, from the UK and Germany, will be discussing these and other key questions.
