The British Embassy in Berlin is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas. We are now looking for a Market Analyst and Project Manager to be part of the Department for International Trade (DIT) in Germany. As the British government’s international economic department, DIT is responsible for delivering DIT’s four outcome delivery plan priorities overseas: To reduce market access barriers, champion free and fair trade, facilitate UK exports to Germany and encourage economic growth through attracting investment into the UK. For more information about DIT please follow the link.
As Market Analyst and Project Manager, you will play a business critical role working at the centre of one of the Germany Network’s biggest teams, with around 40 DIT staff based at the Embassy in Berlin and the Consulates-General in Düsseldorf and Munich. You will work closely with the DIT Germany COO and Head of Trade Policy and Market Access (TPMA) team to provide high-quality analytical, administrative and project management support to the DIT Germany team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your own contact networks and knowledge of the UK’s commercial and business relationship with Germany. We are committed to ensuring the job holder can use this role as a great development opportunity.
We are looking for someone who is enterprising, flexible, team oriented, well-organised and able to pick up new issues quickly. The role will require close coordination with multiple colleagues across the Germany Network, in London, as well as DIT’s new European Market Access Centre. You will need to develop effective relationships with teams across the International Trade network, as well as with offices of key businesses, trade associations and other stakeholders on behalf of DIT Germany.
The successful candidate should have strong analytical, research and communication skills, be highly organised and able to juggle competing demands. You will have the chance to work with colleagues across the Embassy and the DIT Europe Network, as well as take part in our broad and varied corporate and learning and development opportunities.
