With the political landscape poised to change, and foreign policy influencing many people’s votes, we will look at how the EU and UK can strengthen ties and set out a positive vision for cooperation and collaboration across key sectors.
The high-level panel discussion with distinguished policymakers from within the European Union and the UK will allow both parties to reflect on the recent European Union (EU) elections and the UK elections. Moreover, with just four days after the UK elections these discussions will present a unique opportunity to explore the evolving dynamics of the future EU-UK relations. With the political landscape in flux, it is imperative to consider strategies for strengthening ties and enhancing cooperation across many sectors including economic and trade relations, renewed cooperation agreements in the field of renewable energy, R&D, security and defence collaboration. The insights from the panel discussions will be pivotal for informing both the UK and EU foreign policy, trade and security agendas.
