In our much-loved tradition, the BCCG Rhine-Main Region once again joins more than nine and a half million people around the world in celebrating the life and works of the Scottish poet, Robert “Rabbie” Burns. What’s in store:
This year, the speech to the Immortal Memory of Burns will be delivered by Dr Pauline Mackay, Head of the Centre for Robert Burns Studies at the University of Glasgow, and a lifelong Burns aficionado. The Centre’s unique immersive technology XR memorialisation of Burns and Scottish culture has won a Queen’s Anniversary prize and Pauline is famously working on a book of Burns’ racier works. And as usual, there is the traditional 3-course Supper including haggis (vegetarian and regular), bagpipes, singing, dancing and some excellent single-malt whiskies.

Dress code:

“Laddies” (gentlemen) are invited to wear Smoking (black tie/dinner jacket) or a dark suit, or a kilt – the more the merrier! – and the Lassies (ladies) an evening gown or cocktail dress. Dancing shoes are advisable!

About registration:

This is an exclusive event, with ticket numbers limited to a maximum of four per member. Your booking is only valid after receipt of an invoice confirmed by the BCCG. If you do have to cancel your attendance, we kindly ask that you advise us as soon as possible:
Free cancellations are only possible in writing up to 8 days before the event.
